Guava

  • Who is not familiar with Guava? having pink or white flesh with green skin has a sweet taste. It is a small tree native to Central America and Mexico. In 2016, India was the largest producer of guavas, with 41% of the world total. There are total more than 150 species of guava found worldwide.
  • It is another fruit which wears around 200-500 fruits.
  • Guava has wonderful health benefits. Guava contains 4 time more fibre than pineapple and 5 times more vitamin C than oranges! Also, it is a rich source of vitamin A.
  • Guava has glossy, dark green leaves that are elliptical or oval in shape that are used in textile industry as black pigment. The leaves can also be used to treat wounds. This is just amazing! Tea made out of guava leaves is used to treat diarrhoea, fever and dysentery! The oil extracted from guava seeds, which is rich in linoleic acid, is used as a component in many cosmetic products.
